About the Surgeon Program

The National Quality Measures for Breast Centers – Surgeon Program (NQMBC – Surgeon) is a interactive internet model for surgeons to track and measure quality performance in 9 separate quality indicators. The NQMBC – Surgeon Program identifies quality care measures and provides immediate access to information that allows participating surgeons to compare performance with other participating surgeons across the United States.

The NQMBC – Surgeon Program is a result of the National Consortium of Breast Centers’ (NCBC) commitment to increase the quality of surgical health care provided by surgeons to their patients. Because the NCBC has more than 1,000 breast center members of all types and sizes, we have the opportunity to compile a secure database from which all surgeons can be compared.
